How do I use my Grand Prix awards voucher for a free GWTC race entry? You may either e-mail the race directors at springtime10k@gmail.comfor the online code or bring it to the early packet picket/on-site registration.
What are the age limits for the races? There are no age limits. We encourage participants of all ages to join us.
Are the races walker friendly? Yes, we will have plenty of participants that will walk. If you plan to walk the race, we do require that you line up at the back of the race corral so as not to impede runners.
What will the weather be like in Tallahassee in April? The average high is in the mid 70′s while the average low is in the mid 50′s. This race is rain or shine!
Will I receive a refund if I cannot attend? Can someone else run with my number? There are absolutely No Exchanges or Refunds. No Exceptions. GWTC has a no exchange/refund policy.
Are baby joggers or strollers allowed during the race? If you choose to run with a baby jogger, we ask that you start behind all other runners. It is your responsibility to make sure your baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child’s safety, and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any participant from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.
Are pets allowed during the race? No, this is to ensure runner safety and comply with liability insurance policies.
Are headphones (iPods, mp3 players, etc) allowed during the race? Headphones are allowed. Please be aware of your surroundings and other runners. Can someone else pick up my packet for me? Yes.
Can I register on race day? Yes. Race day registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:30 a.m. There are no registration discounts on race day and shirts may sell out.
Will there be water stops? Yes, there will be water stops approximately at miles 2 and 4 for the 10K and mile 1.5 for the 5K.
Will there be a sports drink and energy gels on the course? Gatorade and water will be available at the 10K water stop. The 5K water stop will only have water.
What time should I get there? We encourage you to arrive early to ensure a good parking spot and to get to the start line with plenty of time.
Is there a time limit? Participants must complete the race under 2 hours (maintaining a 20 min per mile pace).
Where can we park for the races? It is important to arrive early because roads will be closed for both the 10K and Springtime Tallahassee Parade later in the day. No parking will be allowed in the FDOT lots near the Start/Finish line. Parking garages and limited street parking are available nearby. See map.
