ABOUT
This is one of GWTC’s oldest area races being held continuously since 1976, with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to Covid. This race is considered Tallahassee’s hometown race and has always been held the same day as the Springtime Tallahassee events. After participating in the races, many people walk up the hill toward the Capitol to enjoy events in the park including the parade, arts and crafts, and music. The hills and the community feeling along the race course in Myers Park in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida, will ensure that you have wonderful stories and memories to share about this race.
All races are chip timed and the 10k/5k races will be held on USATF certified courses, beginning and finishing near Cascades Park and the Florida Department of Transportation Building. The courses are challenging while navigating the rolling hills through the beautiful Myers Park neighborhood.
The 1-mile race will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 10K and 5K races starting at 8:00 a.m. For more information please visit www.gulfwinds.org or email springtime10k@gmail.com.
